GENERAL
Although we have no age restrictions, all passengers must be a minimum of 4 feet tall when they fly. SHARED flights are reserved on a space available basis and require a minimum of four passengers. All reservations are subject to a $10.00 per person regulatory fee.
HEALTH
Hot air balloon rides are an outdoor adventure activity and involve an element of risk, all passengers must be in good health and be a minimum of 4 feet tall when they fly. We do not allow passengers to fly in a balloon if you have recently undergone an operation, are on oxygen, if you are in a cast, or have back or leg problems. Guests must be able to climb in and out of the basket unassisted and stand for a minimum of one hour. Pregnant women may not fly. Escape Adventures, Inc. d.b.a. A GRAPE ESCAPE HOT AIR BALLOON ADVENTURE takes no responsibility if your physical limitation is aggravated by your balloon flight. If you have any concerns regarding your health and participation in this flight, please contact your physician. If you have a physical limitation, please call to discuss it with us prior to making a reservation.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Although we are fully insured, our insurance company requires all passengers sign a Release of Liability Waiver. PLEASE READ THE WAIVER PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED FLIGHT AND BE PREPARED TO SIGN IT WHEN YOU CHECK IN. If English is not your first language, please have the waiver translated and make sure that you understand and acknowledge your acceptance. You will not be allowed to participate in the balloon adventure without signing a Release of Liability Waiver.
WEATHER
Unfortunately, Mother Nature does not always provide safe weather conditions for a hot air balloon flight. Our pilots are trained and qualified to evaluate the weather conditions and decide if it is safe to fly the balloon. If weather conditions should be unfavorable and we are unable to fly on the day of your scheduled ride, we will do our best to advise you the night prior or early morning of your adventure. Please ensure that our office has a contact phone number to reach you. Like the weatherman, our forecast is not always correct and occasionally the pilot will cancel the flight on the launch field. If your ride is canceled due to inclement weather, we will be happy to reschedule your balloon adventure for the next available date. There is never a charge if we cancel the flight due to unsafe weather conditions. Please remember our first priority is your safety.
DRESS CODE
Hot air ballooning is an outdoor adventure activity. To maximize your enjoyment, dress appropriately for the weather on your scheduled flight date and remember that the temperature on the ground is very similar to the temperature you will feel in the air. For safety, we require you wear athletic shoes, and long pants. It is recommended that you dress in layers (t-shirt, sweatshirt, or jacket) to increase your comfort. Shorts, open toed and high heeled shoes are not allowed. Due to heat generated by the balloon, a hat is preferable for tall passengers.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations are accepted only if made at least 48 hours prior to the flight date. Therefore, we must be notified if you need to reschedule, cancel or change the number in your party. We charge FULL FARE or VOID flight vouchers for no shows and cancellations made within 48 hours of a scheduled flight.
