In business here in Temecula, California since 1991, we have NEVER had an accident or injury! However, our insurance company does require that all passengers sign a Release of Liability Waiver.

The average flight altitude for a hot air balloon is from tree top level to 3000 feet. The flight plan depends upon wind velocity, direction and the passenger’s desires.

There is no minimum or maximum age restriction on riding in a hot air balloon. Our only consideration is that passengers need to be 4 feet tall, in good health, be able to stand during the entire flight and climb in and out of the basket.

The actual flight time for a Temecula hot air balloon ride is approximately one hour. The entire hot air balloon experience, including pre-flight preparation, flight and post-flight celebration, may take two and a half to three hours.

This private hot air balloon flight is exclusively for just two people. A certified pilot is the only crew member who will be in the basket with you to ensure a smooth and safe flight, from lift off to landing.

The attire for hot air ballooning is casual. We take off and land in open fields. To maximize your enjoyment, dress appropriately for the season, using casual active wear and closed sport shoes. Bring a sweater, sweatshirt or jacket. Shorts, open toed and high heeled shoes are not allowed. Due to heat generated by the hot air balloon’s propane burners, a hat is preferable for tall passengers.

A video or camera offers the perfect opportunity to capture the spectacular scenery and memories of your hot air balloon tour. The crew will be available before you take off to take your picture in the basket.

Winds are generally calm and stable the first hours after sunrise. The sun’s uneven heating of the earth’s surface causes strong, variable winds. In the morning, it takes a few hours for the sun to heat the earth’s surface enough to generate the thermal activity that creates wind. Wind conditions in the Temecula Valley allow for balloons to fly safely ONLY at sunrise. Ideal winds for hot air ballooning are three to six miles per hour. Meeting times vary throughout the year from 5:30 am in the summer months to 6:30 am in the winter months.
