Grape Escape Balloon Adventures specializes in hot air balloon tether rentals and balloon glows throughout Southern California, with our primary service area focused on the Temecula Valley. We proudly provide tethered hot air balloon experiences for events in Temecula, Murrieta, Wine Country, and surrounding Southern California communities. At this time, we do not travel outside of Southern California for tether or glow events.
A tethered hot air balloon is securely anchored to the ground with specialized tether lines, allowing the balloon to gently rise approximately 50-75 feet before returning to the ground. Because the balloon remains securely attached, guests can safely experience the excitement of a hot air balloon ride without traveling across the landscape.
Each ascent lasts approximately five minutes, with new passengers boarding after each ride. A typical hot air balloon tether accommodates 30-40 guests per hour, with most events lasting about two hours. Tethered balloon rides are available during the early morning or shortly after sunset, depending on weather conditions.
Balloon Glows
As the sun sets, a tethered hot air balloon transforms into a spectacular balloon glow, illuminating the envelope like a giant floating lantern. Balloon glows create an unforgettable focal point for weddings, corporate events, community festivals, fundraisers, concerts, holiday celebrations, and private parties throughout Southern California.
To safely operate a tether or glow, the event site must provide a clear launch area of at least 100 feet by 100 feet, free of overhead obstructions and power lines, with adequate vehicle access for our equipment and crew.
